Dog Refuses To Let Go Of The Man Who Saved Him

When Alex Perez was 11 years old, he saw a puppy at a yard sale and insisted they bring it home. A few years later, while out driving with his mom, they found an injured pit bull running in the middle of the road. Alex picked up the bloody dog and brought him to the car.

The dog has since recovered and is living a wonderful life with Alex. Earlier this week, Alex, now 16, helped out during a different kind of rescue.

Alex had the day off from school, and he joined his mom and some volunteers to save dozens of animals from a hoarding situation in Canton, North Carolina.

The animals had all been taken to a warehouse and were in need of help.

The rescue groups in attendance were Duke’s Animal Haven, Haywood County Animal Shelter,Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation, and Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.

Many of the dogs were Chihuahuas and dachshunds, and they had spent most of their lives in cages. In all, there were 140 animals rescued.

At the temporary shelter, Alex was drawn to one dog named Trouble. Alex approached Trouble’s crate, and the dog clambered into his arms as if to say “don’t let me go.”

Alex held on. Alex and Trouble played, and it was probably the first time that Trouble had ever been shown any love. Alex couldn’t leave Trouble behind, but they were full.

Hopefully, Trouble will find a home, but if not, Alex and his mom will bring him home, if only to foster him. Share away, people.
