Dog Runs From His New Owner To This Heartbreaking Destination Every Single Day

Dogs are astoundingly capable in reciprocating the love that you give them. Loving and caring for your furry friends is easy since they give back so much affection and appreciation. That’s why they’re such a good match for humans!
This connection is so powerful, in fact, that it seems to transcend borders. Even when you’re not home, you know your dog is pining for you as much as you are for them. Nevertheless, the case of Cesur the dog, who lives in Bursa, Turkey, is stunning.
What this pup did just proves that a dog’s love and loyalty knows no bounds!
Dogs are known for being incredibly loyal to their owners. For one little dog named Cesur, though, that loyalty went above and beyond the call of duty—and the reason why is as heartbreaking as it is beautiful.
For years, Cesur was owned by a 79-year-old man named Mehmet Ilhan from Bursa, Turkey. Ali, Mehmet’s son, even emphasized how special his father’s connection was with the dog during an interview recently.
“Because of my father’s paralysis, they had a different kind of connection,” Ali explained. “When my father was in the hospital during his last days, Cesur stopped eating.” As a result, few took Mehmet’s death harder than the little pup. But it’s what he started doing that really got everyone’s attention…
Nobody could have expected how upset Cesur really was about his owner’s death. When Mehmet’s body was returned to his home to be buried, Cesur was never far behind. He clearly appeared to be grieving for his owner.
Once the funeral procession started, Cesur led everyone to the mosque, then solemnly hung his head by the coffin throughout the entire ceremony. “Nobody could touch him until my father was taken to the grave and was buried,” Ali explained.
Ali welcomed Cesur into his home, but the poor dog wasn’t ready to move on. Ali started noticing that the pup was sneaking out every morning when he left for work. As time went on, Ali couldn’t shake the feeling that Cesur was up to something.
Yet it wasn’t until he followed Cesur one day that Ali realized where the animal was going. “The people who work in the cemetery say the first thing he does in the morning is visit the grave of my father,” said Ali.
Ali has no way of knowing how long it will be until Cesur is ready to stop visiting Mehmet’s grave each day. No matter how long it takes, Ali wants the grieving dog to know he’ll be there for him while he continues to recover.
“Cesur has always been a noble animal,” Ali said. “He will live with me from now on.” Indeed, “noble” seems to be the perfect word to describe the dog’s unwavering loyalty towards his beloved, deceased owner.
That same word definitely seems like it could apply to Ali as well. Even so, the dog visit his late owner’s grave proves that Mehmet will always have a special place in Cesur’s heart.
It’s really amazing that Cesur is still so dedicated to his old owner, and that his new owner (who, let’s not forget, lost his own father) is so patient and understanding. Hopefully both of them will continue to heal together.
