A 5 year old dog named Drove was found tied up inside an abandoned house during an investigation. Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby (HSM&S) took the sweet pooch in.
The charismatic dog won the staff over since the moment they met him, his calm sweet nature and loyalty would make him the perfect family pet, but things got a turn for worse and poor animal was overlooked for 7 long months.

Then a miracle happened, when the newly married couple Morgan and Tyler decided to come and adopt a dog.
Morgan had lost recently her beloved Boxer of thirteen years,so the couple wanted to adopt a rescue now and went to HSM&S,  that is when they met Drove!
With Drove it was love at first sight.
“When I got the call that we could adopt him, I was so happy I was holding back tears,” Morgan to The Dodo.

Drove now is renamed Samson or Sammy short, he had the best wake up call ever after his new family finished the paper work, he was ready to go to his forever home.
A staff member of the shelter remembers the emotional moment and said: “He’s just sleeping so sweetly and had no idea he’s going to be going home soon!”

“Since the first night we brought him home, he hates when he has to leave our side,” Morgan said. “If my husband or I get up to grab some water, or leave the room for a second, he follows us to make sure we are not leaving.”
We are so happy that Sammy got his happy ending. We wish him a long life.
